FEARNET REBRAND

award: Cable Faxie for Advertising Campaign for a Network

It’s rare to get a chance to work on a rebrand for a horror network. Usually blood, gore, and eyeballs are the last things any brand wants to be associated with, but for FEARnet it was the most delightful way to go.

I lead a team of animators at Buster as we collaborated with Bird’s and the network’s creative teams creating all assets needed for a full network rebrand.

LA Hair follows Kim Kimble and her salon’s team as they create some of the biggest hair for some of the biggest celebrity names.

I designed the initial boards, directed the talent, and art directed an animator as he brought my ideas to life.

After two seasons, the show turned it’s focus from the full cast to Kim. I worked with BigStar and the production team to refresh the the show package to represent this new direction.

FOOD NETWORK BUG ANIMATIONS

Yearly events are marked by Food Network with a special bug animation that brings on the logo on the bottom right corner of the TV screen. This reel showcases many of the logo animations I’ve designed and created.

KIDS BBQ CHAMPIONSHIP

Kids and fire are usually a bad thing, but in this show the kids use fire to make mouthwatering BBQ.

I acted as Design Director working with the agency and the production team to come up with this show open styled like the Wild Wild West.

VIDEO 1 - BRING IT LIKE A BRAXTON LAUNCH PROMO

For the new season of Braxton Family Values, I composited and animated graphics for the on-air promos as well as a Times Square buyout. The challenge was to revamp the promo to play on various sized screens and stand out amongst all the other flashing billboards.

VIDEO 2 - THURSDAY MASHUP

Inspired by Toni Braxton’s music background, this promo was styled like a music video to remind viewers that Thursday Nights are Braxtons Night on WE tv. I designed, animated, and composited all of the graphics.

VIDEO 3 - DRAMA RAINS DOWN

Drama Rains Down was the tag line for this season of Braxton Family Values. Working with the production company and members of the WE tv team, I helped lead creative for the print and on-air campaigns.

CHOPPED GRILL MASTERS NAPA

Chopped is one of Food Network’s most popular shows. In this spinoff the show goes to wine country for a grill masters showdown.

I lead the in-house design team working with the production team to create this show package showcasing grilling and wine.

Mary Mary is a Grammy-winning gospel duo whose lives are filled with recording, touring, red carpets, and being mothers.

I worked with BigStar and the production team to create this show open that captures the glitz and glam of these musical sisters’ lives. I also shot the photography for key art assets.

FOOD NETWORK STAR: COMEBACK KITCHEN

Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen invites past contestants to vie for a second chance at Food Network stardom.

I designed the initial boards based on the Food Network Star logo and creative directed an animator to bring my ideas to life.

THE RUCKERS

The Ruckers followed three sisters from a prominent family in the south as they attended extravagant soirées and hung out with their celebrity friends.

As design director, I worked with the production team and Monkeyhead in creating this show open that showcased the glitz and glamour of the sisters’ lives.

Halloween is one of the most fun holidays to be a part of at Food Network. Over the past few years I’ve had the opportunity to design/animate graphics and edit the Halloween videos that are shared on various social media platforms.

MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN

Like the bachelor, this show finds an African-American male in search of love. But of course there’s a twist! With the help of his pastor and his mother that lives in the house with the potential matches, he’s determined to find a wife.

Working with the production team, the head of marketing, and the network GM, I lead a team of designers in the logo creation, show open concept, and animation of this show package.

FOOD NETWORK BIG GAME ID’S

Nowadays it’s rare to create network ID’s since airtime is so limited to programming and commercials, but Food Network made an exception in the run-up to the Super Bowl. With these 4 network ID’s that I edited, I also attended the shoot to make sure all shot decisions would work well in my storytelling needs.

BATTLE FOR THE BIRD

Two families go head to head to prove who can make the best Thanksgiving spread.

After receiving the show logo from the key art team, it was obvious that the “fan” of turkey feathers needed to be the star of this open. I designed and animated all assets for this show package.

CHEF BOOT CAMP

Chef Boot Camp stars Chef Cliff Crooks as he mentors–um, whips restaurant owners into shape helping them achieve their restaurant business goals.

The production team wanted something filmic that showcased Cliff working. I designed and animated this open based on this request.
